A Day in the Life of CeCe
For Cece, living at Atlantic Shores has provided new opportunities to share her outgoing nature.
Originally from Norfolk, CeCe wanted to stay in the Virginia Beach area when she retired. From her first visit, she loved the beauty and security of the campus, the fitness equipment and classes, and culinary options, including three restaurants and special dining events like Chef’s Dinners.
But ultimately, she chose Atlantic Shores because she was drawn to the warmth of the residents and staff. “Everyone I met was so friendly, and made me feel so welcome.”
CeCe’s life and career has always kept her involved and connected with others, from participating on debate teams, choir and student union, to her work with the Norfolk City Public Schools and the Virginia Beach Public Library System. “I enjoy meeting new people, and I love to talk! And at Atlantic Shores, there are always new activities to participate in. There’s always something going on, and you definitely never get bored!”
Her bubbly personality led her to become involved as an Atlantic Shores Resident Ambassador, where she helps serve as the face of the community at a variety of meet and greet events for prospective new residents. So far, she’s participated in Atlantic Shores’ Home and Garden Tour, Classic Car Cruise-In, and “Taste of Life at Atlantic Shores” open house events, where she’s shared what drew her here, and why she feels that “living at Atlantic Shores is like living at a resort.”
CeCe also uses her enthusiasm to help promote Atlantic Shores as a member of Marketing and PR Committee. Her smiling face shines in print and television ads for Atlantic Shores, showcasing the wealth of experiences that await future residents.
CeCe has personally discovered that “at Atlantic Shores, you can enjoy living a lifestyle of your own choice that’s perfect just for you”.
