Atlantic Shores Was Our Best Choice!

Each of our wonderful residents choose Atlantic Shores for their own personal reasons. Carolyn and Chuck Landry share why they feel moving to our community was one of their wisest decisions!

My husband, a 24 year Air Force veteran, and I moved to Atlantic Shores in October of 2016. We decided to tour three retirement communities in Virginia Beach, but after seeing Atlantic Shores we threw the names of the other two away. We chose to live in a villa on the big lake and we love it! We’ve met wonderful folks through the years, but feel we’ve never lived in a friendlier environment. We’ve made friends quickly and treasure these friendships.

The activities are many and diverse, everything from exercise and swimming classes to bridge and poker. We go on a cruise each year, tour museums, attend plays, symphonies and military functions. You can stay as busy or as sedentary as you chose.

Our grounds are beautiful – our lawn maintenance staff keeps us green, trimmed and with beautiful flowers to enjoy! Our chefs and staff serve us delicious (award winning!) and healthy meals in three beautiful settings. We have at least two EMT’s on the grounds at all times and have three top-rated health care venues. We have housekeeping service, with a thorough spring cleaning, windows included, annually. Living in a gated 24-hour secure environment provides us with a feeling of comfort and safety. All of this at what we consider a very reasonable price!

Chuck and I feel choosing Atlantic Shores as our home is one of the wisest decisions we’ve made in our 54 years of marriage and compliment each other weekly on our wisdom
