Giving Back

Organizations We Give To

The season of giving is upon us. Time to count our blessings and share them with others.

At Atlantic Shores, we’re proud of our senior residents who give back all year long. Coming from a wide range of different backgrounds and careers, with different talents and interests, they also have many things in common; including the desire be engaged and support their community.

We have residents who indulge their passions and share their knowledge with others, serving as docents at a variety of local institutions, including the Military Aviation Museum, the Chrysler Museum, and the Virginia Aquarium Marine Science Center.

They also invest time in mentoring youth in our community, including reading to, and creating live performances for area elementary students.

They consistently use their talents to support causes dear to them, including resident writers who give back some or all portions of their book sales to organizations like the Healing Waters Fly fishing Project.

They honor our veterans and active duty military, and teach patriotism and sacrifice to the next generation with special ceremonies, and through the work of our Freedom’s Foundation of Valley Forge chapter.

And they rally friends and family to walk alongside them as they strive to make a difference in the battle against Alzheimer’s disease.

To our very special residents we say, thanks for all you do. We honor you!
