Put on Your Dancing Shoes!

At Atlantic Shores, we love sharing knowledge and fun, both on our campus and out in the community. We partner with local experts to create classes, seminars and special events that enrich the lives of our residents, and fellow fun-loving seniors in the Virginia Beach area.

Like our Senior Advocate Lifelong Learning Institute hosted by Atlantic Shores. Technology is always changing! This special five-month series lets guests learn from the experts the ways technology can add to their everyday lives. Students from ECPI University will present a variety of topics, featuring live demonstrations, handouts, and question-and-answer sessions. Classes will cover: security and hacking; healthcare apps; social media; smart phone capabilities; and in-home technologies.

We also encourage novice dancers ages 55+ to kick up their heels! Our popular “Dancing with the Seniors” program at the Sandler Center for the Performing Arts returns through May 7.  We’re proud to once again partner with one of Hampton Roads’ most renowned dance instructors, Marquita Bianca, to offer fun bi-weekly classes in Latin, cultural, and line dances. The series will conclude with a “Senior Prom,” where participants demonstrate their newly developed dancing dexterity.
